Statement from Marvin Pitts, eligible floor candidate for 2021–2022 Club Growth Director:

I am proud to have submitted my name as a floor candidate for the position of Club Growth Director. I have served in the capacity of Division Director since 2019 and look forward to broadening my horizons in the future. If elected to serve as a Club Growth Director, I would work tirelessly to establish new clubs, support current clubs and increase membership ranks. I look forward to mapping out a detailed marketing plan, extending the District’s reach, supporting advancement by means of specialized industry-based resources, and managing leads through the Toastmasters Lead Management system.

I am mindful that a successful Club Growth Director can only achieve the set goals and objectives by seeking out and finding the right people who will work together as an orchestra. Delegation can be an essential part of effective leadership; however, thoughtful and purposeful delegation is the difference between good and outstanding. In my many years as a leader, I have developed an eye for spotting areas for growth and forming networks with talented people to maximize the outcomes.

All things considered, a Club Growth Director should awaken possibility from within the individual and group. As part of a team, I believe that I am vested in and expertly qualified to pursue this position with all the tasks and responsibilities that it entails.
