We are seeking the next leaders for the coming 2026–2027 Toastmasters year. Are you, or someone you know, looking to hone your leadership skills, develop new ones, and have fun with your fellow district leaders and Toastmasters? Are you ready to lead our district during this exciting transition? If so, we’re inviting you to step forward for one of the elected leadership roles.

Application Deadline

The deadline to apply for any of the positions below is February 15, 2026.

Elected Positions

District Trio Leadership

The three core leadership positions that will guide District 216 are:

• District Director
• Program Quality Director
• Club Growth Director

Division Directors

In addition to the three individuals above, we will be seeking eight Division Director candidates to oversee and support clubs within each division. Each Division Director will play a vital role in building and sustaining the success of District 216.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria at the time of taking office.

District Director

Must have served at least 6 consecutive months as Club President and at least 12 consecutive months as a Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, Division Director, or a combination of these roles.

Program Quality Director & Club Growth Director

Must have served at least 6 consecutive months as Club President and at least 12 consecutive months as a Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, Division Director, Area Director, or a combination of these roles.

Division Directors

Must have served at least 6 consecutive months as a member of a District Council.

Additional Requirements for All Positions

• Active member of a Toastmasters club in good standing for the entire preceding 12 months (or 12 consecutive months within the past 3 years within District 216)
• May only be a candidate for elective office in one District at any given time
• May only serve in one position within any District Executive Committee at any given time
• May not be a candidate while actively competing in a current speech contest cycle
• Candidates shall not serve as speech contest officials or test speakers above the club level
