[D28_community] Toastmasters District 28 Membership Building Contest

Hello!  I'm happy to announce the new membership building contest for
District 28.  "Heat Things Up!" runs January 1 - March 30.  Please pass
this announcement along to your Toastmasters club(s).

Note:  Some computers cannot handle lots of graphics, so I've kept the
attached version of the flyer very simple.  Others won't accept
attachments at all, so the text of the flyer is reproduced at the bottom
of this message.  Thanks!

	a.k.a. the District 28 Membership Building Contest


During the winter, some animals hibernate, and some plants go dormant.
Toastmasters don’t hibernate!  Don’t let your club go dormant!  Use this
time to "Heat Things Up!"  Help your club build its membership AND earn
the chance to win TI Gift Certificates!  Here’s how it works:

- For current clubs (chartered before January 1, 2006), for every NEW
member that a club signs up during the time period January 1-March 30,
the club will receive one entry.
- A bonus entry will be added for every four new members that club signs
up.  (For example, four new members, five entries.  Eight new members,
10 entries.)
- To be as fair as possible, and to keep things simple, the TI District
28 Performance Report for March 2006 will be used as the official data
source.  Please be aware that membership applications submitted by mail,
or submitted electronically very close to the deadline, may not be
reflected in the report.   Once TI posts this report, the drawing will
be held and the results announced.
- Nine entries will be drawn.  The first three entries drawn will win a
$50 TI gift certificate, redeemable for merchandise from the TI Supply
Catalogue.  The remaining six entries will each win a $25 TI gift
certificate.

Additional Rules:

- Clubs may win more than once.  It’s simply the luck of the draw.
- Awards are not transferable to another club.
- To be eligible, a club must be listed on the TI web site as being in
good standing with TI (April-September 2006 dues paid) as of the drawing
date.

Newly Chartered Clubs:

For each club chartered January 1 - March 30, 2006, that newly chartered
club will automatically receive a complete set of the Better Speaker
Series modules.  After the club charters, if the club adds additional
new members by March 30, those new (non-charter) members will be counted
toward the main contest.
