The Beating ❤️ of Speech Contests

October 26, 2019 @ 9:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Free

Speech contests are a crucial component of the Toastmasters learning experience! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to organize and conduct a high-caliber contest.

Whether you’re a club member interested in putting together your first club contest, or a DEC member responsible for organizing a contest on behalf of your area or division, this is an opportunity to learn what you need to know and set yourself up for success!

This workshop features:

  • The Speech Contest Rulebook: Mysteries Unveiled, Myths Debunked
  • Discussion of eligibility, originality, judge selection, briefings, agendas, registration, and more
  • Lessons learned, and the who/what/when/where/why—and even some “why nots”—of contests
  • Fun group activities!

Seating is limited and registration is required. Please RSVP through our Eventbrite page if you plan to attend.
