Finally, we were delighted to present the District 28 Communication & Leadership Award to Mr. Chuck Gaidica, Chief Meteorologist for WDIV-TV (Channel 4 in Detroit) and host of radio station 100.3 WNIC's Breakfast Club. We were thrilled that WDIV sent a news crew to cover the award presentation and his remarks. A report was broadcast on Saturday's 11 p.m. edition. (Great publicity for our organization!) Mr. Gaidica indicated that he plans to talk about Toastmasters on tonight's 5 p.m. broadcast, about 5:20 p.m., time permitting. Cross your fingers and, if you can, tune in!

For Speaking and Leadership Excellence,

Todd

PS - Also announced at the conference was that the entire month of May has been declared OPEN HOUSE MONTH for District 28. Clubs holding an Open House or Lunch and Learn during May and add 3 additional members have a chance to earn valuable prizes.
