Fellow Toastmasters:

To those clubs that have already reached the status of Distinguished
Club, Select Distinguished Club, or President's Distinguished Club --
Congratulations!

For everyone else...

Would you like to be able to say you're a LEADER of a Distinguished
Club? You may be SOOOO close!!!! You may be just a few new members or an
educational award (submitted by June 30) away from getting it!

You may be asking yourself, "Why should we care about being a
Distinguished Club? What's in it for us?" Other than the pride in
belonging to a Distinguished Club, there are a couple of reasons.

   1. A potential member who has visited several clubs is probably more
      likely to join the club that is Distinguished. Why? Because the
      Distinguished club is doing everything it can to support its
      members.
   2. By turning in those educational awards and/or new members before
      June 30, 2006, you may not only help your club become
      Distinguished but you may also help your Area, Division and
      District become distinguished. How would you feel if your Area,
      Division or District missed being Distinguished by one educational
      award or fell one member short of the goal? This could be your
      opportunity to help others as well as yourselves!

Remember the Rules of the Distinguished Club Program? To be a
Distinguished Club, you must have EITHER:

   * 20 paid members as of June 30, OR
   * a net gain of 5 members since July 1, 2005

AND have met 5 of the Distinguished Club Goals:

   * 2 CTMs
   * 2 more CTMs
   * 1 ATM (any color)
   * 1 more ATM (any color)
   * 1 CL, AL, or DTM
   * 1 more CL, AL, or DTM
   * 4 new members
   * 4 more new members
   * Had at least 4 officers trained at both club officer training
sessions over the year
   * Submitted Club Officer Report and one dues payment on time

To be Select Distinguished, it's the same as Distinguished, except
meeting 7 or 8 of the goals. To be Presidents Distinguished, it's
meeting 9 or 10 of the goals.

And remember, all new membership applications (new, dual, or reinstated)
submitted before June 30 count in the District 28 membership Building
Contest!!! (They also count toward the District's goal to become a
Distinguished District. We're getting VERY close to reaching that goal,
but we can't do it without YOUR help!)

So, go out and get in a few more members, get manuals done, get club
officers to complete CLs, and get Distinguished!!!!

If you are not sure how many DCP points your club currently has earned,
go to: www.toastmasters.org and look under "Member Quick Links." Click
on "Club DCP Points" and type in your club number.

Yes! It's Possible! to become a Distinguished Club for 2005-2006!
