[D28_community] District 28 Spring Conference Announcement

Fellow Toastmasters,

I am delighted to announce that the theme for the District 28 Spring 
2007 Conference is "Leaders Make It Possible!" The April 20-21, 2007, 
conference will be held at the Westin-Southfield in Southfield, MI. The 
conference registration form will soon be available on the District 28 
website: www.d28toastmasters.org, under the "Spring Conference" section.

District conferences provide excellent opportunities to learn, laugh, 
renew old acquaintances, and make new friends. The Spring 2007 
conference will feature the district-level Evaluation and International 
Speech contests, the always interesting District Council business 
meeting (including the election of new officers), and an awesome array 
of educational workshops! The committee, which is still under formation, 
is already working on the theme for Friday Fun Night and lots of other 
items. If you're interested in helping with the conference, please

We’re seeking workshop presenters, especially those with topics that fit 
the theme. If you’re interested, please complete the application form 
(on the D28 website under "Resources/Education") and/or contact the LGET 
(that's me!) for further information.

In order to provide a broader range of payment options for our members, 
we’ll again provide an on-line registration system for those who wish to 
pay by credit/debit card. (This option will include a modest surcharge 
to cover the cost of offering this service.) The link will be added to 
the website in January.
