SUMMARY:District Business Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The District is required to hold at least two meetings each year. The first online meeting must take place no later than September 30 to approve the District budget and any other business. \nDistrict Council members—club Presidents and VPEs—and District Executive Committee (DEC) members are eligible voters. \nClubs in good standing each carry two votes. DEC members each carry one vote. Those who hold multiple roles have a maximum of three votes. There are no proxies for this meeting but either club officer may carry the two votes for the club. Please arrange this ahead of the meeting and be ready to notify the Credentials Chair. \nA quorum is required and consists of one-third of all eligible Club Presidents and Vice Presidents Education. A majority of the votes cast is required to pass a motion. \nCredentials is the process by which the authority of a voting member is certified by the Credentials Chair\, Vera Johnson. \nPrior to the meeting\, voters are required to check in to the breakout room titled Credentials.
