size=2>Basically facebook is an online social network group where individuals
can
talk to each other, post events, discuss ideas, and reconnect with
past
friends and family and coworkers. Many will join facebook to
search for
groups that they have an interest in.

For example, if
someone has been transferred to a new area and they are
already involved in
Toastmasters they may go to TIA but they may also do a
search through
Facebook to see what clubs are active in the area. They can
then look
through the group and see what type of club members, events and
ideas they
discuss. This helps them connect to the members making the
decision
easier as to what club to join that matches their needs.

Pictures,
videos, and much more can also be posted on to Facebook
advertising
specifics about your club. I think that District 28 can use
this as a
promotional tool as well as a way to collaborate between clubs to
increase
our success.

The best way to find out though is to take a look
at Facebook.com and join
the District 28-Division F group.

Joy---I've been reminded that, for advice/meshing/etc., contact Robynn
> Diamond, Division F Governor. She has a Facebook page
for
> Division F. If
> what was done for the District
harmonizes with that, cool.
>
>
>
>
>
----Kevin
>
>
>
>
>
> Joy---it
turns out that Ray Metz has a LinkedIn site, which meshes
> with a
LinkedIn site for the District started by Brenda Meillors (of
> the
Warren club). That means the District doesn't have a Facebook
>
"presence". If you'd like to start such, you're welcome, nay
>
encouraged, to go for it. (If you do that, you could even make it a
> project for the CL manual!).
>
>
>
>
