Fellow Toastmasters:<br>

District 28 is VERY close to reaching its goal of being a Distinguished

District for the third year in a row!  According to TI headquarters, we

are one of only about 30 districts world-wide likely to achieve

Distinguished status this year, so we should all be proud of this.<br>

<br>

However, we're not quite there yet, and I need your help!  After the

paperwork goes in on one more new club (and it will!), we still need to

record about 15-20 more membership payments by this Friday, June 30, to

earn Distinguished District status.  That's where you can help!  <br>

<br>

PLEASE!<br>

<ul>

  <li>If your club has a guest that would like to become a member, but

you have not sent in his or her application yet, please submit it by

Friday.  (On-line, if possible, or by regular mail, if you must.)</li>

  <li>Or, if your club has a "lapsed" member who has not yet renewed

his or her membership, and they are willing to do so, please turn it in

by Friday.</li>

  <li>While you're at it, if you have a member who has completed an

educational or leadership goal (CTM, ATM, DTM, CL, AL), please remember

to turn that in, too!</li>

Doing these things will not only help <u>our</u> District become

Distinguished, they may also help <u>your</u> club, area or division

become Distinguished, Select Distinguished, or President's

Distinguished!<br>

Also, so I can keep track, if you submit any member payments this week

(June 25-30), please let me know by replying to this e-mail.  The

"final" report from TI might not be posted until mid-July, so this will

let us know we've achieved our goal before then.  <br>

Please help us to "Stretch for Success" as we reach the conclusion of

the 2005-2006 Toastmasters year.  Thank you!<br>
