[D28_community] Message from the Conference Chair

Greetings, fellow D28 Toastmasters!

This year's Spring Conference is already shaping up to be an exciting
one!  It'll be even better with your creativity and leadership skills
behind me, so please join us for the first of probably three or four
Conference Committee Meetings.  Let's meet at the usual place:

Kerby's Coney Island
25050 Northwestern Hwy. on the "corner" of 10 Mile/Evergreen.
Wednesday, January 24th at 6 PM

Other than leaders for specific teams, we need lots of volunteers!
Perhaps you'd like to take a short shift at the Registration Desk...
maybe you'd like to give the Toast to Canada (we'll even give you manual
credit - Special Occasion Speeches)... and rumor has it we may need
dealers for casino games, but nothing is official until after our first
meeting. Please let me know if you plan to attend. If not, we can still
use your help!  As you know, the conference takes many people to become
a reality. After the fun we had in the fall, we will be working
especially hard to keep the momentum going!  Please register early for
the conference at www.d28toastmasters.org. {PayPal option coming soon}.

Thank you in advance for taking copies of the registration form to your
clubs.  I'll also be selling ads again for the program and I hear copies
of that form will be available online soon and at Club Officer Training
on the 20th.

I am really excited about the Spring Conference and I look forward to
working with you. You are the leaders who will help me "make it
possible!"
